The Accounting and Tax Applications Program Held Its First Advisory Board Meeting for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

Balikesir University Balikesir Vocational School Accounting and Tax Applications Program held its first Advisory Board meeting on October 14, 2025. Attendees included Department Head Dr. Lecturer Nisa Kıymet ŞAHİN, department faculty members Lecturer Fatma GİRGİN, Lecturer Özlem ERDİL, Lecturer İrem UZUN, Balikesir CPA Chamber President Eren Çekiç, CPA Emre Yücel, CPA Ufuk KAYA, CPA Pelin ÖZCAN, CPA Ecem SEVİ ÇETİN, department quality student representative Zahidenur GÜMÜŞ, and one of our graduate students Fatma SAYAN.

At the meeting, it was planned that the Balıkesir Chamber of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) would provide training on Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Accounting to our students on November 5, 2025. It was decided that the Advisory Board would meet twice each semester. A protocol was drawn up for cooperation with the Balıkesir Chamber of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in determining students' summer internship locations. It was also decided that the students would visit the Balıkesir Chamber of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) as part of a technical trip to introduce the profession. Opinions were exchanged on the latest changes published by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance regarding current developments in accounting (e.g., KURGAN, e-Invoice applications, and e-Declaration Submission Changes).
